2024 marks the 175th anniversary of the Maastrichtian stage. The one-day conference field trip will take you to Maastricht (Netherlands), c. 90km west of Cologne, to visit the historical type section of the Maastrichtian stage at Mount Saint Peter and the Cretaceous/Paleogene boundary in the spectacular man-made caves of Geulhemmerberg.
