Arrival by plane

Cologne-Bonn Airport (CGN) is located within 20 minutes by train or taxi from Cologne main station (Köln Hauptbahnhof) in the city center. The airport offers direct connections with major European hubs such as London, Amsterdam, Rome, Milan, Vienna, Copenhagen or Warszawa. Düsseldorf Airport (DUS) and Frankfurt Airport (FRA), two of Germany’s largest airports and both within one hour from Cologne main station, offer direct flights from a vast number of destinations around the globe. Regular trains and buses take you from both airports to Cologne city center.

Arrival by train

Cologne is a central transportation hub within Europe and well-connected by national and international railroad. We thus encourage you to book a train ride instead of a flight when travelling from within Europe. Cologne can be easily reached from Paris (3.5 hours) and London (4.5 hours) by Thalys and Eurostar trains; major European cities including Brussels (2 hours), Amsterdam (2.5 hours), Munich (4 hours), Berlin (5 hours), Prague (7 hours) and Vienna (8 hours) are within reasonable travel times. Travel within Cologne

Cologne has a well-developed public transport system. Tickets can be bought at major tram stations, on the tram or bus or via the KVB app.

Cologne offers a large variety of accommodation for every budget. We will provide further information on selected hotels in Cologne soon.

You may also consider accommodation in the close-by city of Bonn. Regular trains connect Bonn main station (Bonn Hauptbahnhof) with Cologne-South station (Köln-Süd). The ride to Cologne-South station takes 20 minutes; from there, it is a 10-minutes-walk to the venue.
